Importance of primary teeth
Primary teeth is commonly called as milk teeth or baby teeth
It has the function of mastication, phonetics, esthetics, maintaining space for permanent teeth.
As parents we are the one who takes care of our children milk teeth and their oral hygiene care, so we should have the knowledge and importance of primary teeth.
But people commonly feel or believe that since it’s a milk teeth which will eventually fall, so it’s not worth to spend money or time on providing good oral health to Our child milk teeth.
Often problem in milk teeth will lead to pain or swelling which may caused due to trauma or caries will result in disturbed mental health of the child or poor intake of food which eventually affects the general growth and appearance of a child.
If there is any problem arising in milk teeth, It may lead to future dental problems in their permanent teeth for example- early shed of milk teeth (due to various reasons like caries, trauma) will result in crowding of permanent teeth due to insufficient space.
